“From a young age, figurative drawing was her main artistic mode of expression. I had always been self-taught but when I settled down in Edinburgh in 2007 I took advantage of the programmes of short courses provided by Edinburgh College of Art and the Leith School of Art. In 2014 one of my drawings, a small cloudscape, was selected for the Royal Scottish Academy Open Exhibition.
Today my practice is shaped by enquiry and experimentation. My process is based on three main elements: a love for colour, the shapes of the natural world and the pull of the subconscious.”
